How much does shiba inu's puppy usually cost from a breeder in New York?
For a purebred pet quality Shiba you can expect to spend $400-$800 if you are looking for a show quality dog you can expect to spend $600-$1200. I would suggest finding a reputable breeder because pet store puppies are usually from puppy mills and end up with health problems. Make sure you work with a breeder that offers health guarantees and has tested the parents for loose patellas, that is also the first thing that you want to have checked at the vet, as it is one of the main genetic issues in this breed.
Good luck! Shibas are wonderful dogs! I couldn't ask for more from my Shiba

When we buy a pet or even shop at a store that sells puppies, we contribute to a heartless underground industry that forces dogs to spend their entire lives in cages constantly breeding to support consumer demand for puppies.

okay i will be the only one to answer your answer with the answer you need*confused* about 1200 for a pet quality and any where from1500 to 3500 for show or breeding prospect. that's in Cali and I know new york is about the same…make sure you buy from a good breeder and get a health certificate because they are a expensive breed there is a lot of bad breeders trying to make a buck with crappy cheap quality dogs. good luck!

Call up some breeders and ask! It depends on if they're show or pet quality, for one.

My neighbor got a shiba Inu from http://www.petfinder.com
that dog was with a small dog rescue group. TRy that, it's cheaper and you save a dog.
She paid $150 for the adoption fee (spaying and vaccines included)
