Is There Any Difference Between a Shiba Inu and an Alaskan Klee Kai?

im planning to get either an alaskan klee kai or a shiba inu. just wanted to know if theres any difference with the two breed? such as size, personality ect..

Actually, both are spitz dogs, as obviously a husky is a spitz breed.
More technical, a Nordic breed (for both, as well as both their larger counter-parts : huskies and akitas).

Obviously, no, they are not the same. There ARE differences. please do your research as NEITHER are for novice owners. But, I’d recommend the klee kai as a beginner if you want to go with either one of these breeds.

Shibas can be VERY strong willed, hard to train, and aggressive if not trained, raised, or bred properly.

If bred, trained, and raised properly though, they can be amusing, smart, at times very primitive companions.

Not too sure about klee kais, but shibas are much more similar to cats. they generally do not need your attention, and when they come for it, will typically only want a pet, not to be held.

Again, this is all general. not true to every dog, as even within a breed each dog’s personality is different. But BOTH breeds require a firm handler, and a good deal of research. I’d assume the klee kai is not for a pushover, and i KNOW the shiba is DEFINITELY NOT for the faint of heart.

uh yeah, they are two different dog breeds. please do your research and find out for yourself if either of these dogs will fit into your lifestyle before you purchase. if you have to ask questions like this, you must not be very knowledgeable of the breeds because these are basic things you are asking. i’m not being a smarty pants. believe me, i learned the hard way and ended up with a dog from the pits of hades. found out AFTER i got the dog that these were traits specific to its breed. you don’t want to go through that.
