He Got Cancer And Had To Be Put Down. Even Thoug He Was The Mutt From , I Loved Him To Bits. I Still Cry Over Losing Him. I Breed Shiba's Now.
I know a few Shibas … I know a few Shibas that are close to 40 lbs - most are overweight. Males can be up to 30 lbs if they are on the tall side. And, I know females that are only 12 lbs!

I've heard of … I've heard of people having great success in teaching their puppies to sit from a very young age. If he has the attention span, try holding a piece of food up to him with the back of your hand facing him (so he can't just grab it from you). Let him sniff it, and try to figure out how to get the treat. Don't force him by pushing on him. As soon as his bottom hits the ground, say "Sit" firmly, and give him the treat. Praise lots.
Because Shibas are … Because Shibas are so intelligent, the sooner you can get him into a training school the better. If you can do it when he is 3 months old, that would be best!
